How do I submit payment for a domain name?

Once you click the 'Buy Now' button under a domain name, you'll be redirected to an Afternic.com landing page. By clicking 'Next,' the domain will be added to your GoDaddy.com shopping cart. From there, you can review the details and proceed by selecting 'I’m ready to pay.' If you’re already a GoDaddy.com customer, you’ll be prompted to log into your account. If you’re new to GoDaddy, you can easily create a free account on the same page before continuing to payment.

Payment has been submitted, what happens next?

After the payment is completed, Afternic’s Transaction Assurance (TA) team will take over. They’ll notify me, the seller, to transfer the domain into their GoDaddy.com holdings account. Once they verify the transfer of ownership, they will contact the buyer to request their GoDaddy.com account details, including the customer number and the email address associated with the account. With this information, the TA team will initiate the transfer of the domain from their holdings account into the buyer’s GoDaddy.com account, completing the transaction.

Is the buyer responsible for paying any commissions?

No, any commissions due to Afternic.com will be deducted from the sellers payout/earnings from the transaction.

Where are these domain names registered?

All domain names that I own and have listed for sale through Afternic.com are already registered and held at GoDaddy.com.

Are transactions through Afternic.com safe?

Yes, I choose to list my domain names through Afternic.com to ensure a secure experience for both the buyer and seller. Payments are processed through GoDaddy.com’s trusted system, and the Afternic.com Transfer Assurance team is available to assist the buyer with any questions about the ownership transfer process. Afternic.com takes possession of the domain from me, the seller, before transferring it to the buyer. As an added layer of protection, I only receive payment once the buyer has confirmed with the Transfer Assurance team that they have successfully taken ownership of the domain.
